Spring Hockey

The Carmel Catholic Hockey's Spring Program is an opportunity for rising eighth graders, freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to train to play the Carmel Catholic way.

Players can expect to have one practice and one game a week in Spring 2026 with both Varsity and JV having an eight-game schedule against primarily SHL opponents.

Practices will emphasize power skating, game situations, small area games, and strategy skills training with the Carmel Catholic Hockey coaching staff.

Carmel Spring Hockey is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the Carmel Hockey experience by skating and playing with the Corsairs, training on-ice with Carmel's coaching staff led by new Hockey Director and Head Coach Matt Leitzke, and training off-ice at Carmel's world class fitness facility.

Spring 2026 Fees

Full-Time Spring Skater: $700

Participating in Another CCHS Spring Sport: $575 (will confirm roster spot)

Goalies: $575

Jersey Fee: $65 (to be paid by anyone that does not currently have a reversible CCHS practice jersey)

Payment will be made via Veracross which will be linked in registration confirmation email

Who

Carmel Spring Hockey is open to all CURRENT and FUTURE Carmel Catholic High School students enrolling in the Fall of the following school year.

No commitment to play on the team in the fall is necessary to play with the Corsairs in the Spring.

Where

Glacier Ice Arena is our home rink.

We'll play home at Glacier and away games around Chicagoland.

Ice Slots

Home ice primarily on Monday and Wednesday evenings for practice and some games.

A few Saturday/Sunday slots sprinkled throughout the Spring season.

Each team will have at least four away games in addition to four home games for eight total games.

Off-Ice Training

Open to currently enrolled Carmel Catholic Students

*Incoming Freshman are not allowed in the Carmel Catholic Fitness Center until June once officially enrolled.

Jerseys

Practice Jerseys will be provided to incoming players. Returning players will use their practice jerseys.

There is a $65 jersey fee for any new players or players that do not already have a reversible CCHS practice jersey.

2026 Carmel Catholic High School Spring Hockey registration is now open! Spring hockey runs from March 8th through May 22nd and is a fantastic way to experience the Carmel Hockey program by meeting your future team and classmates.
